Tyler Clark's music is part alt-country, part blues, part Americana, and a large dose of 70s rock. His songs draw influence from the American canon created by artists like Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, The Band and Ryan Adams.
Tyler has been playing professionally since age 13 and is now in his mid 20’s. He lived in Seattle from 2005 to 2009 and learned his trade in the legendary city playing with a handful of local bands including rockers Boxcar Rebellion (www.boxcarrebellion.com) and the more modern/pop Celebrity Orphans (myspace.com/thecelebrityorphans). His discography includes: two full-length solo discs, Open Grave Blues (2007) and Tyler Clark (2009); an EP with Boxcar Rebellion (2009); lead guitar duties on several Orphans releases; and an EP with The Dark Horses (2010).
Tyler Clark has played a number of famous venues in Seattle, including The High Dive and The Sunset, and a handful of venues on the West Coast including The Hotel Utah in San Francisco, The Tonic Lounge in Portland and The Scene in Los Angeles. He relocated to Austin, Texas at the end of 2009 and formed The Dark Horses whose mix of rock and dark Americana is reminiscent of Ryan Adams & The Cardinals and the Drive By Truckers.
